Director of Group Home Programs
Full Time Position 40 hours a week
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Group Home Programs shall have the following responsibilities:
Responsibility for compliance with the Standards for Licensed
Children’s Residential Facilities and other applicable standards;
Responsibility for all personnel at the group home;
Responsibility for overseeing the facility operation in its
entirety, including the approval of the design of the structured program of care and its implementation; and
Responsibility for the facility’s financial integrity.
Will report to the Executive Director and will work out of the group home
EXPERIENCE
program administrator must have at least the following qualifications:
(Special
Note: Courtney’s House group home is licensed through the State of
Virginia Division of Child Welfare. You must meet VA licensing
requirements)
A master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or
administration
and a combination of 4 years professional experience working with
children and in administration and supervision;
A baccalaureate degree in social work, psychology,
counseling or administration and 5 years of combined professional
experience with children, and in administration and supervisory experience; or
A baccalaureate degree and a combination of 6 years
professional experience in a children’s residential facility and in administration and supervision.
Any applicant for the program administrator position must
submit the following to demonstrate compliance with the qualifications required
Official transcripts from the accredited college or university of
attendance within 30 days of hire; and
Documentation of prior relevant experience.
Documentation of any state license.
COMPETENCIES
Must pass a local and federal background check as well as bonded.
Must be 21 and have a valid driver’s license and be insured
Demonstrated passion and commitment to issues of commercial sexual exploitation and domestic sex trafficking
Research skills
Some
experience working with Virginia Department of Social Service (DSS)
licensing codes or any other state licensing (not mandatory)
2-3 years of experience in detail oriented administrative or grass root organizational work
Experience collaborating with community based and or government agencies
Experience facilitating or organizing meetings
Ability to exercise independent judgment when appropriate
Excellent writing and leadership qualities
Good public speaking skills
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
Exceptional organizational skills
Must be a self starter
Pay close attention to detail
Outgoing and energetic
Must have a sense of humor and love working on anti-trafficking work
History
of working with traumatized youth who have experienced commercial
sexual exploitation/sex trafficking, sexual abuse or other trauma
related issues
Academic studies relating to sexually traumatized youth are preferred, but life experiences will be considered.

Residential Manager (Not a Live In Position)
Full Time Position 40 hours a week
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Residential Manager shall be responsible for the
development and implementation of the programs and services offered by the
facility, including overseeing assessments, service planning, staff scheduling,
and supervision.
Persons directing programs of a facility licensed or certified to care
for 6 residents shall be full time, qualified staff members.
Will report to the Director of Group Home Programs.
The
Residential Manager’s primary responsibility is the day-to-day care of
the residents while adhering to the program and policies set by the
Director of Group Home Programs. The Residential Manager is the
first-line position which involves nearly constant contact with the
youth, working with them to resolve daily problems and to insure that
they follow their daily activities including trauma therapy.
This
individual relates to and interacts with a wide range of contacts both
within and outside Courtney’s House including residents, the
Administrator, Case Managers, Therapist and outside contacts. In these
contacts, the individual acts as a representative of Courtney’s House
and its mission.
Provides a holistic, rehabilitative family atmosphere in the Home, addressing the
academic, vocational, physical, and needs of each resident youth.
Initiates, oversees and supports developmental activities, both general house
requirements and individual treatment plans, such as:
Completion of school and homework requirements and satisfaction of ongoing
educational goals.
Participation in recreational and cultural activities to address social, educational or
experiential deficiencies.
Maintenance of individual schedules for education, health, therapy, recreation, and
the like.
Demonstrated competence in working with traumatized youth who have experienced
commercial sexual exploitation/sex trafficking.
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and the ability to do so effectively with the
young persons, professionals, neighbors and others who interact with the home.
Demonstrated ability to use initiative and be a self-starter.
A positive attitude and the ability to be flexible in light of changing job situations/priorities.
Can effectively interact with others in a diverse work environment.
A
calm demeanor and ability to make sound decisions in the difficult
situations that arise in an environment serving traumatized teenage
youth.
The ability to keep information regarding the program and residents strictly confidential
A willingness to support and uphold the mission of Courtney’s House.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
This
position is required to do light physical work. In order to
successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the
employee is regularly required to remain stationary for some periods of
time; communicate; use hands and fingers; move; occasionally required to
position self to stoop, kneel, or crouch; regularly required to reach
with and use arms and hands, as required in using standard office
equipment and a PC.The employee is required to drive. Must be able to
occasionally lift and
move up to 50lbs. The work environment for this position is a residential environment with a moderate to high noise level.

POSITION
Case Manager
Full Time Position 40 hours a week
.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Case
Manager shall be responsible for the case management for 6 live
in girl residents ages 12yrs – 18yrs long-term care 6 months-
3 years
Review
intake forms and conduct/review psycho-social interviews of youth who
are referred to the Group home and identify sex trafficking victims.
• Advocate for and coordinate the development and achievement of comprehensive Individualized Service Plans (ISP) for residents
• Provide Case management and referrals (internal/external).
• Collect and maintain monthly statistics.
•
Document the youth progress/lack of progress through writing ISP’s and
creating and implicating progress levels , reports, progress notes,
weekly schedules, youth advisory summaries and performance contracts.
• Attend scheduled meetings and participate in scheduled reviews of youth status as needed.
• Conduct parent group sessions as needed; develop and facilitate support groups for residents and parents
• Document the daily progress of youth who are part of the group home.
• Accompany residents to court and maintain a relationship with the court system and or FBI victim services..
• Provide necessary case briefing/training to other staff members as needed.
• Serve as a liaison for youth with community and government agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Case manger reports to Director of Group Home Programs
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Regular internal contact with all CH staff, occasional outside contact
with vendors and suppliers, and regular contact with outside agencies.

POSITION
Residential Night Aide (2) (Evening-Overnight Position)
Part Time Position Shifts: 6pm-2am and 2am – 10am

This positions requires that staff is awake.
Residential Aide will provide written reports of the night and security checks of cameras

Ensuring residents complete chores, assist residents with life skills.
Participation in recreational and cultural activities to address social, educational or
experiential deficiencies.
Maintenance of individual schedules for education, health, therapy and recreation,
Demonstrated competence in working with traumatized youth who have experienced
commercial sexual exploitation/sex trafficking.
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and the ability to do so effectively with the

children as approved by the department.
