Volunteer Opportunities
Street Outreach Volunteer
Street outreach training starts July 19th - July 23rd
6:30pm - 8:30pm
Street outreach is a 3 month mandatory commitment and must be able to commitment to two times a month. No experience neccesary however some street knowledge preferred and survivors are welcomed to apply!
Female only must be at least 21yrs pass 2 rounds of interviews, pass a local and federal back ground check and must attend a mandatory self defense class.
Street outreach is conducted on Fridays & Saturdays from 12:30am - 5:30am. Street outreach is conducted in high trafficking areas in Washington, DC. Please submit your resume along with the Street outreach volunteer intake form to streetoutreach@courtneyshouse.org
Hotline Volunteer
Hotline Training starts July 24th 11am-3pm
Hotline volunteers must be a survivor of sex trafficking domestic or foreign national, sexual assault or domestic violence. Mandatory commitment of 4 months and must be able to commitment at least 3 times a month. Female only must be at least 21yrs pass 2 rounds of interviews, pass a local and federal background check.
Hotline is 24hrs victims call in directly all shifts are aviable 6 hour shifts 8am-2pm, 2-8pm,8pm-2am, 2am-8am.
Hotline goes directly to your cell phone.
Assistant to the Assistant Director of Programs
If you have 20 hours a week to volunteer and are interested in learning more about Courtney’s House and it’s programs than please consider this opportunity. There is some flexibility in the schedule and there is a possibility to work from home. The Assistant Director of Programs oversees Street Outreach, CSEC groups, Events Team, Volunteers, Licensing for the Group Home and other programs as they are created. An assistant needs to be detail oriented and familiar with google calendar and google docs, comfortable scheduling meetings, taking notes and minutes at meetings and following up. This is an official Courtney’s House support staff position. You will be given a CH email and business cards. Donations Coordinators
Courtney’s House needs three donation coordinators, one for Virginia, one for DC, and one for Maryland. The coordinators will be responsible for working with donors to arrange for donation pick-ups and drop-offs. Coordinators must have access to a car. Assistant Volunteer Coordinator
Courtney’s House is seeking an assistant volunteer coordinator to work closely with the volunteer coordinator. The assistant will be primarily responsible for coordinating volunteers and volunteer groups to assist with work on the group home.
