At Courtney's House getting the community involved is a top priority that's why we have several ways to get involved.
Upcoming Volunteer Trainings
Street outreach training March 22 - March 28 6:30pm-8pm Mon-Thurs. Location TBA. Special Training Friday, March 27 Location TBA. March 28 Self-Defense class 3pm-6pm TBA. Requires at least a three month commitment.
Steps for the training:
you must be 21yrs or over; female volunteers only. If you are interested in
applying to attend the training, please email Jennifer Kimball,

Volunteer Opportunities
Mentors (priority need!)
Courtney's House is looking for male/transgender mentors who have experience with mentoring LGBTQ youth and/or doing HIV outreach/counseling. If you would like to learn more please email Tina Frundt tfrundt@courtneyshouse.org
Volunteer Bookkeeper (priority need!)

Donations Coordinators
Courtney’s House needs three donation
coordinators, one for Virginia, one for DC, and one for Maryland. The
coordinators will be responsible for working with donors to arrange for
donation pick-ups and drop-offs. Coordinators must have access to a

Assistant Volunteer Coordinator
Courtney’s House is seeking an assistant volunteer coordinator to work
closely with the volunteer coordinator. The assistant will be primarily
responsible for coordinating volunteers and volunteer groups to assist

Event Assistant Volunteers
As Courtney's House continues to grow, we particularly need help with soliciting in-kind and monetary donations. Volunteers will assist with building relationships with donors and businesses, and with fundraisers.

Publicity Assistant
Courtney's House needs a volunteer to help secure, plan, and execute publicity events with major, national news outlets including print, broadcast, radio, and online. If you have experience with such tasks, please email Jennifer Kimball at
Donate a Car in Good-Working Order
